The concept of accountability for public resources is key in our nation’s governing processes.  Legislators, other government officials, and the public want to know whether (1) government resources are managed properly and used in compliance with laws and regulations, (2) government programs are achieving their objectives and desired outcomes, and (3) government services are being provided efficiently, economically, and effectively.

Officials of governmental entities are responsible for applying those resources efficiently, economically, effectively, and legally to achieve the purposes for which the resources were furnished or the program was established, as well as several other responsibilities, such as complying with applicable laws and regulations, maintaining effective internal controls, and more.  We can help ensure that the public resources are used efficiently, economically, effectively, and legally by providing professional audits of governmental units.
