• The Price of ‘Free’ Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi connections are easy to find, and fraudsters know this. Not only can they hack into your laptop while you are on an unsecured wireless network and steal your identity, they can steal files off of your computer hard drive, as well.
• Don’t Fall for Vacation Scams: When you think of a vacation during the winter months, you think of warm tropical islands, beaches, and memories that will last a lifetime. One thing you don’t tend to think of is vacation scams.
• The IRS Will NOT E-Mail You: A fake e-mail from the IRS might look legitimate, it might even have the IRS logo, but remember… the IRS will never e-mail you.
