Meet Jessica

When Jessica was asked to be the treasurer of her son’s baseball team, she quickly realized that the filings were not accurate or up to date. She reached out to H&S to see if we could help. We met with Jessica and helped her set up online bookkeeping where she could easily track the revenues and expenses of the organization. We also went over all the deadlines and helped her get up to date. She will now be able to hand off the treasurer position when her son ages out of the program and can confidently train someone else to assume the responsibilities.

Meet Tom

After attending several township meetings, Tom’s local clerk approached him about running for office. Upon starting, the clerk had to take a medical leave. With no training in government accounting Tom wasn’t sure where to begin. He knew that an audit was required at the end of the year but had no idea what that entailed. Our team scheduled additional time so that we could give recommendations for efficiency and quality of records going forward. Tom now confidently prepares for the annual audits and has even helped his neighboring elected officials when they have questions.
