Brett Filush is a Shareholder in the Business Tax Advisory division at H&S Companies, bringing more than 15 years of experience advising closely held businesses and family offices. He specializes in tax planning for growth-oriented clients, including acquisition structuring, sell-side advisory, succession planning, partnership tax matters, and business tax strategies.

He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Grand Valley State University with degrees in Accounting and Finance, Brett also serves on the board of ACG West Michigan and the Finance Committee for the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. Prior to H&S, he spent nearly a decade working for Plante Moran in Chicago and another 5 years for BDO in Grand Rapids.

Outside of work, Brett enjoys traveling, skiing, and soccer, especially following Arsenal. He lives in Grand Rapids with his wife and their three boys.
