Before deciding to implement a new ERP system we had inventory accuracy issues due to lack of scanning and product adjustments not being. We had a lack of analytics/reporting capabilities and multi-warehouse management capabilities. Now, nearly all of our reporting is automated. Sales and Purchasing have complete visibility into their team and individual performance metrics. The warehouse is able to process 30% more product because of scanning capabilities. Inventory accuracy has increased from a 10% margin of error to 1-2%. We are able to manage multiple warehouse locations and our new manufacturing division.
We were having inventory inaccuracy, picking issues, extensive time to process receiving and shipping, no scanning capability, reporting difficulties with our previous system. Since the implementation, all warehouse transactions are now able to be scanned. Inventory accuracy has improved dramatically. Shipping percentage is consistently at 99.5%. We moved to a 50% larger facility and increased volume by 30-50% with no bottlenecks and no additional personnel.

How did H&S impact the success of your new system?
Due to the scope and complexity of the project we could not have implemented this product on our own. We lacked the resources and expertise. H&S filled in the gaps and helped us stay organized through the implementation of best practices. Their support after go-live was instrumental in delivery of the final product with no downtime or major disruption to business/customer services. The value of this cannot be overstated – this project would not have been successful without a dedicated project manager. In a siloed organization you need someone who isn’t managing an effort like this in their free-time but rather is completely focused on integrating all the efforts in the project.

How did H&S help with the overall selection and procurement of the software?
We spent 8 months analyzing different options for ERP systems. H&S brought many of these options to the table, based on prior experience and further analysis. We had a list of requirements for the new ERP system. H&S analyzed the requirements and helped us make comparisons in order to get the best match for a system based on the requirements. After that H&S scheduled demos and Q&A sessions with the top 3 vendors and assisted in making the final decision.
